Dermoscopy is the close-up examination of the skin using a specialised microscope (a dermatoscope).​

Felicity has a specialist interest in dermatology and regularly undertakes further training in dermatology and dermoscopy in order to develop her clinical knowledge.  She has a top of the range dermatoscope she uses in clinic, so that she can confidently exclude benign lesions.

Up to three lesions can be checked within this 30 minute appointment, anywhere on your body (not just the feet!)

 

Photos are taken from two angles with a camera and also with the dermatoscope and applied to your electronic record for surveillance and/or sent with a referral to your GP or dermatologist.
