About Your Podiatrist
Felicity Burnell BSc. (hons)
I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2010.
I have extensive experience both within the NHS and private sector. Within the NHS, I specialised as a Community Diabetes Lead Podiatrist working in community clinics, the Churchill Hospital's diabetic foot clinic and domiciliary settings. I have previously had permanent roles within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and have locumed in Greenwich, Ealing, Kensington, Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire.
I waved goodbye to the NHS in June 2017 and have provided private care within your home across Oxfordshire ever since.
Further study in diabetes, rheumatology, biomechanics, x-ray and blood test interpretation, casting techniques, acupuncture, sports massage, my previous life as a medical secretary and a further undergraduate degree in biomedical science (University of Southampton, 2007) means I have a broad knowledge base that I can apply to each consultation.
In October 2018 I attended an intensive dermatoscopy and skin cancer course. I found that my patients would often ask me about other lumps and bumps on their bodies, and I felt it would be a good adjunct to my service to be able to accurately identify suspicious lesions - and also to be able to confidently reassure if something is benign.
I really enjoy a challenge - so if you've got 'problem feet', you've come to the right place!
